30 Years of GIPA

Thirty years ago, in Denver, people living with HIV for the first time voiced the idea that personal experiences should inform the AIDS response. When people incorporate the greater involvement of people living with HIV and AIDS (GIPA) principle into their work, it means people living with HIV and AIDS are consulted and fully involved in decision-making processes, strategic discussions, policy-making and programme implementation.
