Strengthening the Malawi Social Cash Transfer Scheme through Linking and Learning: Consolidated Research Report
In order to mitigate the economic and psychosocial impact of HIV and AIDS related illness and death of Orphans and Vulnerable Children and their caretakers, four Malawian NGOs and the Chitipa District Assembly joint efforts to strengthening the Social Cash Transfer programme within their country. Hear Our Voices! Making sure young people's voices are heard
There is overwhelming evidence that the participation of young people leads to better outcomes for projects, programmes and organisations. This manual will show you how easy it can be to give the young people a voice in an organisation. In the manual you will be introduced to the STOP AIDS NOW! Youth Participation Model (SYP Model). This model can assist organisations in a self-assessment of the inclusion of young people and in highlighting areas for further improvement of youth participation. The model can be used by ALL organisations that work for/with young people (worldwide) and is thus not country-specific, nor AIDS-related. Also available in French and Chichewa.

4Life Facilitators: Strengthening the resilience of vulnerable children
For three years the concept of 4Life Facilitators was tested by members of the STOP AIDS NOW! South African partnership. This pamphlet shares what we have learned about the impact of this work. We believe that 4Life Facilitators, can be an important part of creating a a world where children are able to grow in to their very best possibility. Working together for children affected by AIDS
The impact of HIV and AIDS on children in developing countries is enormous. Because of the immense impact on children’s lives, action is needed to make sure these children’s needs are met. Social cash transfers, to households in which these children live, can be part of the solution. This reports gives insides on the pilot social cash transfer scheme that the government of Malawi is implementing to reach out to these households, and about the ways Malawian civil society can contribute to this Scheme.
