Global Fund Advocates Network Speakers Bureau now accepting nominations and applications
March 31, 2015
Speakers will champion the Global Fund by supporting advocates efforts to mobilize resources for the Global Fund
International Civil Society Support is looking to create a Global Fund Advocates Network Speakers Bureau composed of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, TB and/or malaria. The principle is that people who have seen the impact of the Global Fund in their lives are the most impactful spokespeople for the Global Fund.
As GFAN members are constantly seeking opportunities to solidify and increase either domestic funding for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria or donor funding to the Global Fund Secretariat, being able to call upon trained, impactful spokespeople is a key to the success of their advocacy.
ICSS encourages GFAN members to act as nominators and work with individuals who might be interested in being champions to submit applications.
More information including an application and nomination package can be found on GFAN's website.
Deadline for applications has been extended to Wednesday April 8th 2015 at 5pm EST.
