- Baseline analysis available now!
STOP AIDS NOW! has integrated a research initiative to help determine the impact of the Project on the women and girls benefiting from the local activities the Project supports. We commissioned Impact Research and Development Organisation, a research-oriented non-governmental organisation from Western Kenya, to carry out the research initiative in Kenya. An essential first step in the research initiative has been this baseline analysis.
- A Monitoring and Evaluation protocol, including a small research initiative has been developed. With this protocol the impact of the prevention activities of counterparts can be evaluated.
- During a participatory process it has been decided to keep the interim steering committee in Kenya until 2008. The steering committee guides the project at a local level.
- WOFAK was selected to be Coalition Coordinator for the gender development project in Kenya. Koalisi Perempuan Indonesia was chosen for Java and Foker LSM Papua for Papua.
- Introductory workshop organized by STOP AIDS NOW!, Hivos Regional Office for South East Asia and LP3A, in collaboration with MASVAW and Yayasan Spiritia, in Jayapura 27-28 February and 1 March 2007. 21 participants.

- Introductory workshop organised by STOP AIDS NOW!, WOFAK and Hivos, in collaboration with Sonke Gender Justice Network and Action Aid Kenya, in Nairobi 13-15 December 2006. Almost 100 participants.
