- Report review workshop GDP
The four day workshop brought together 26 field workers, project officers and managers from across the GDP coalition partners in Kenya. The purpose was to provide a refresher training on the key issues of the Project, gender, HIV, and rights, and to identify the effectiveness of the project during the past year or so of implementation and provide recommendations for improving the work of the project for the future.
- STOP AIDS NOW! has integrated a research initiative to help determine the impact of the Project on the women and girls benefiting from the local activities the Project supports. We commissioned Impact Research and Development Organisation, a research-oriented non-governmental organisation from Western Kenya, to carry out the research initiative in Kenya. An essential first step in the research initiative has been this baseline analysis.
- A Monitoring and Evaluation protocol, including a small research initiative has been developed. With this protocol the impact of the prevention activities of counterparts can be evaluated.
- During a participatory process it has been decided to keep the interim steering committee in Kenya until 2008. The steering committee guides the project at a local level.
- WOFAK was selected to be Coalition Coordinator for the gender development project in Kenya. Koalisi Perempuan Indonesia was chosen for Java and Foker LSM Papua for Papua.
- Introductory workshop organized by STOP AIDS NOW!, Hivos Regional Office for South East Asia and LP3A, in collaboration with MASVAW and Yayasan Spiritia, in Jayapura 27-28 February and 1 March 2007. 21 participants.

- Introductory workshop organised by STOP AIDS NOW!, WOFAK and Hivos, in collaboration with Sonke Gender Justice Network and Action Aid Kenya, in Nairobi 13-15 December 2006. Almost 100 participants.
