Both jointly and individually we have already initiated many trajectories. So why joining forces in upscaling? First, the existing initiatives can be linked and we can benefit from each other’s knowledge and experience and increase learning. By doing this jointly, we can also have a larger outreach and a deeper impact. This will also increase the visibility of the programme and its results, which will stimulate other organisations, including donors, to change their way of working. It can stimulate a multiplier effect. By also actively involving People Living with HIV (PLHIV) organisations, stigma and discrimination can be better addressed and we can have a stronger voice as a critical mass. Furthermore, the diversity of the stakeholders in this joint programme will strengthen our lobby messages on local, national and international level.
