Scaling up the response
STOP AIDS NOW!, its partners and their local partners are all committed to change the course of the HIV pandemic by strongly intensifying our investments in addressing HIV and AIDS in the workplace through a joint programme. Jointly we have identified several countries for possible scaling up of the response, two in Asia and the others in Sub Saharan Africa. Read more about why we are doing this jointy...
Context specific programmes
Local organisations that already have experience in addressing HIV and AIDS in the workplace will take the lead in supporting other civil society organisations in their respective countries and/or regions. As different countries have different experiences and existing responses, the programme will be very context specific. Depending on the context, scaling up may mean different things like involving more organisations, improving quality, have a wider outreach to other stakeholders, or extending from an internal focus to mainstreaming HIV and AIDS in an organisations’ core work.
Proposals at country and regional level
On country and regional level, lead organisations will develop proposals for their upscaling initiatives, which will eventually be part of a large multi-country proposal for which we will jointly seek funding. Each individual STOP AIDS NOW! partner will take the lead, with their respective local lead partner, in selected countries/regions.
Role of STOP AIDS NOW!
STOP AIDS NOW! will facilitate linking and learning, the applied research component and lobby and advocacy in the programme.
