Background 
Eye of the child (EYC), a child rights not for profit, non political and non – governmental organization, was established in Malawi on 28th February, 1995 as a response to democratization and decentralization needs for combined process into an effective force for the protection, care, development and survival and the need for strong advocate to work actively and holistically for the protection and promotion of children rights; an institution that is able to positively influence public opinion, decision makers, to positively influence public opinion, decision makers, policies and programmes in Malawi.
Eye of the children whose activities are based on the convention on the rights of the child (CRC) and are in conformity with the provision of the Malawi laws and the Constitution. It is an active registered member of the council fro non governmental organization in Malawi and is also registered with Non governmental organization board of Malawi Act (2000)
Our Mission
Is to promote and protect child rights and encourage young peoples participation in issues that affect them through lobbying, advocacy, research, and other child rights programmes.
